POSITION SUMMARY:
Must have skills:
2 yrs QC automated test scripts
2 yrs QC Defect tracking / Defect Management experience
2 yrs SUSE Linux
Require a power QC (Quality Center - v 10.0) user to manage the bug reporting across multiple project efforts and multiple QC initiatives. Support other project activities in testing and documentation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Revise QC items as needed
• Report regularly to project teams on state of QC items, added, resolved, returned, in retest, etc.
• Extend the team’s capabilities in QC through the use of automated QC test scripts for regression testing and smoke testing
• Create and maintain reporting on production support defects reported through QC
• Create and maintain standardized defect tracking documentation
• Provide support to development groups during release process as needed
SKILLS:
REQUIRED:
• 2 – 4 yrs QC Defect tracking / Defect Management experience
• 2 – 4 yrs QC automated test scripts
• Experience in SUSE Linux
• Experience with large scale web based project efforts
DESIRED:
• Certification in test management
• QC specific training
• XML knowledge
• XML Spy
• MKS – source code management
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science in computer science or related discipline
• Full project lifecycle experience on 2 or more large J2EE projects
• Release management experience for 2 years
• Experience with Linux system for 2 years
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Must exude a positive, can-do attitude
• Strong team player
Bonus if you have:
o Masters of Science in computer science or related discipline
o Specialized training or courses beyond college
o Technical writing experience
