JOB SUMMARY: Provide technical and business knowledge, application development and enhancement projects utilizing current computing architectures.  .  

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design, develop, implement, and maintain web sites, Internet based applications; SAP R/3 based applications and applications in other technologies.

· Lead or assist in the design effort, mentor junior staff, provide work estimates, perform code reviews and gather project status from the team and report the status to the project manager.

·Design, code and test software with limited supervision.

· Define customer requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop and present solutions.

·Assess development objectives for project phases and recommend technical strategies and tactics to achieve business needs.

· Identify business problems and implement programming solutions in cross-functional project environments.

·Ability to assess and communicate issues of technology impact on the business and apply a broad knowledge of technical functions to accurately anticipate organizational impacts.

·Leverage an extensive background in technologies as well as an understanding of the latest technologies and their impact on product architecture and design.

·Program in ABAP, Java, Visual Basic and other object oriented and procedural programming languages.

·Analyze, debug & resolve complex application software problems.

·SQL coding and in depth understanding of the data model(s).

·Contribute to the development and deployment of standards.

·Demonstrate initiative in resolving problems, balancing conflicting requirements in partnership with others.

·Develop and maintain an understanding of the IPS project pipeline, and an understanding of the impacts of project results to the pipeline.

· Estimate and evaluate financial impacts of technology choices and understand business benefits, and track actual labor effort and duration.

·Other duties as assigned.

·         Minimum 5 years experience in application development.

·         In-depth knowledge of client -side and server-side Web technologies: W3C Web standards and specifications, HTML, CSS, HTTP / HTTPS, XML/XSL, Active-X, DOM, Perl, VB, Java, JavaScript, Java Applets, and J2EE (JSPs, Servlets, and EJBs) .  

·         Experience with the installation and configuration of J2EE compliant application servers.

·         Experience in the design and implementation of Web Applications.

·         Experience with Web application build processes, deployment, and management of object oriented code repository.

·         Experience developing integration components with software packages.

·         RDBMS design experience.

·         Experience with content management systems.

·         Experience with internationalization of web applications.

·         Experience in cross-browser development and mobile device support.

·         Object-oriented design and implementation experience.

·         Experience with portal software preferred.

·         Ability to work in and lead a team of developers.

Non-Web Developer
·         Strong Knowledge of Procedural and Object Oriented programming techniques.

·         Strong demonstrated problem-solving skills.

·         Minimum 5 years experience in application development and with all phases of system development life cycle.

·         Excellent knowledge of ABAP and SAP R/3.

·         Knowledge of SAP R/3 configuration in multiple areas.

·         Experience in the design and development of multiple l SAP R/3 functional areas.

·         Working knowledge of UNIX Operating System.

·         Experience with major Database Management Systems.

·         Experience interfacing SAP r/3 with third party applications.

·         Working knowledge of the SAP Business Connector and other integration middleware.

·         Experience working with and leading project teams.
