We are seeking an individual with an in-depth background in Financial Analysis, tracking and reporting on a portfolio of IT projects that are planned and in progress. The ideal person will have been a financial analyst who has moved into Project management. This person will be responsible for tracking and managing funding of various projects with can create a process that allows visibility to project financial analysis despite ever changing issues related to projects. Therefore, in addition to financial background, familiarity with IT project management or involvement in IT project management is needed. ***

Base Description:
Implement and oversee tools, management processes, and reporting to support project- and portfolio- level financial management of a Technology Project Portfolio.

Job Description:
? Support all financial tracking and reporting aspects of IT project investment planning, governance, oversight, performance monitoring, and value realization.
? Work in collaboration with Finance, the Business PMO (IPMO), IT Leadership, and the IT Project Management community
? Support financial aspects of IT/business strategic planning and articulation to ensure top-down strategic and financial guidance drive the selection of IT projects within the portfolio
? Collaborate with Project Portfolio Managers and stakeholders to support the enterprise-wide IT investment plan and assist with decision support activities.
? Support financial aspects of portfolio rebalancing in response to priority changes
? Implement tools and processes to support development, validation, review, and communication of Technology project estimates to business, finance, management, and other stakeholders.
? Develop tools and processes to analyze project- and portfolio- level budget performance
? Maintain consistency in format and terminology with related financial project financial tracking processes and tools
? Forecast and monitor time-phased portfolio spend vs. budget.
? Apply project-level financial performance measurement and monitoring, in alignment with PMI principles and practices
? Define and support standard practices to track material changes in project costs and benefits.
? Appropriately leverage financial management capabilities of the current Technology Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tool
? Oversee leveraging of technology financial management capabilities in the new Enterprise PPM tool being implemented
? Accountable for managing Technology Project Financials to support achievement of service, accuracy, customer satisfaction and financial goals.
? Research and leverage corporate and industry best practices related to portfolio financial tracking and reporting.
? Utilize metrics and best practices to develop standards of performance at the process level, as well as at the business unit and individual employee levels.
? Develop and maintain a comprehensive description of the Technology Project Financial Management process, including high-level process architecture.
? Plan and lead Process Improvement teams as required, to identify process improvement opportunities, and design and implement changes

Qualifications Sought:
? Solid project management and facilitation skills
? Proven leadership skills
? Ability to work with limited supervision
? Full life-cycle technology Project Management or related experience
? Strong financial analysis skills, including experience in developing business cases, cost/benefit analyses, NPVs, break-even calculations and financial decision making models
? Knowledge / experience partnering with both business stakeholders and senior IT professionals
? Strong relationship management and consultative skills
? Ability to interact effectively and influence at all levels of the organization
? Diplomatic and persuasive with ability to succeed without authority
? Dedication and commitment to top-quality service and to meeting customer expectations
? Strong perspective, understanding, and sensitivity towards company business issues
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? High energy self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to multi task
? Previous banking experience is preferred
? Six-sigma process improvement training a plus
? PMI or ITIL certification a plus
? Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project
? Experience with Project Portfolio Management Tool such as CA Clarity, HP PM, MS EPM a plus
