Job Description:
• Must have Java development experience.
• Leads multiple project development teams in developing web applications for TD Bank. Knowledge of Google App Engine is required.
• Develops functional specifications jointly with business consultants, determining any use of 3rd party modules and selection of programming languages as well as breaking overall problem into specific modular segments
• Evaluates coding within assigned projects. Determines steps needed to get code ready for production testing and takes appropriate action to correct any deficiencies. Coordinates testing of code for functionality, adherence to standards, and impact to existing systems including vendor interfaces
• Participates in related system architecture discussions, providing programming, architecture, and process expertise. Influences architectural decisions
• Develops prototypes for new screen designs, coding structures, and 'proof of concept' demonstrations
• Participates in documentation process, developing modules and structures. Documents code written according to established development process. Ensures proper documentation of any code written for assigned projects
Job Details
• Develop web applications for TD Bank, N.A. using Google App Engine.
Skills/Education:
• Experience with web application development and Google App Engine. Strong knowledge of Java and database development required.
• Development experience for web applications using HTML/XHTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, Java Servlet API and ASP.NET
• Expert knowledge of web programming design and development processes including the development of functional specifications
• Strong documentation skills during all steps of an application development lifecycle
• Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
